The Northern Arizona women’s golf team had a strong start in the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament, shooting a 297 (+13) and currently sitting in fourth place. Amy Hodgkins led the team with a 72 (+1) and is tied for 10th place on the leaderboard. Despite the strong performance, the team is just two strokes behind third-place Montana. Reigning champions Sacramento State finished the day with a total of 282 (-2), leading the competition. The ‘Jacks will be playing alongside Idaho and Eastern Washington in the next round with a tee time set for 7:50 a.m. MST. Live scoring is available for those who want to follow the tournament closely. The team has recorded 51 pars and 11 birdies so far in the tournament.
