College in Arizona to Introduce Managerial Accounting Certification

Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College in the US will offer a new Financial Managerial Accounting Associate (FMAA) Certification starting in April 2025. The programme, accredited by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), aims to train individuals in financial reporting, cost management, and other essential skills for careers in accounting, finance, and business management. Dr. Kristine Duke, an AWC Accounting professor, expressed excitement about the opportunity, highlighting the benefits of the certification for those starting their accounting careers. The certification is particularly beneficial for entry-level positions in accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, and other finance-related roles. It also serves as a stepping stone for more advanced qualifications like the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The course will run from April to July 2025, with classes at the AWC Reskilling and Technology Center. Prospective students are encouraged to register early, with a total course fee of $850. The certification is not only valuable for finance professionals but also for entrepreneurs and corporate professionals looking to enhance their financial literacy skills.
