Tempe, Roy Lopez Jr. held his fourth annual youth football camp, attended by 500 kids from kindergarten to eighth grade. Lopez, who recently signed with the Detroit Lions, continues to be active in his community in Arizona. With the motto “Be the Best,” he aims to inspire kids to excel in all aspects of life. Lopez’s foundation provided lunch, shirts, and a swag bag for the young athletes at the camp. Despite his NFL career taking him away from home, Lopez remains connected to his roots, with over 100 family members volunteering at the camp. Lopez’s father, a former coach at Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe, expressed pride in his son’s success. The Lopez family will be supporting Roy as he takes the field with the Lions in the upcoming season. As a professional athlete, Lopez is dedicated to giving back to the community that supported him throughout his career.
