Investigation underway into destructive fire at New Mexico GOP headquarters

Federal authorities are investigating a fire that damaged the headquarters of the Republican Party of New Mexico in Albuquerque, with unspecified “incendiary materials” recovered at the scene. This incident follows a series of vandalism attacks targeting property associated with Elon Musk’s Tesla, which U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has termed “domestic terrorism.” These attacks have occurred both in the U.S. and abroad, with Molotov cocktails used to start fires. The Republican office fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters, with no injuries reported. Mayor Tim Keller condemned the arson as a politically motivated crime and urged anyone with information to come forward. Additionally, spray paint reading “ICE=KKK” was found on the side of the building, although details about it have not been released. The investigation is being conducted by the ATF and FBI. Republican Party representatives commended the firefighters for preventing further damage.
