Marcus Adams Jr., a rising sophomore at Cal State Northridge, has committed to Arizona State University’s men’s basketball team after entering the transfer portal. The 6-foot-8 forward had an impressive season with the Matadors, averaging 16.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 52.6% from the field. He was the team’s leading scorer and made a total of 62 three-pointers throughout the season.
In addition to his on-court performance, Adams received multiple accolades, including two Big West Player of the Week awards and a spot on the All-Big West Second Team. Prior to his time at CSUN, Adams briefly played at BYU before transferring.
Arizona State has been active in the transfer portal, with guard Joson Sanon committing to St. John’s and forward Jayden Quaintance still deciding on his future. The team also recently added Pepperdine transfer Moe Odum. The Sun Devils will be competing in the College Basketball Crown tournament in Las Vegas for a chance to win $500,000 in NIL deals.
