80-mile police pursuit following a train robbery in northern Arizona targeting Nike shoes


Another train robbery targeting Nike shoes occurred in Mohave County, Arizona, on Thursday, March 27. The Hualapai Nation Police Department stopped two vehicles in connection to the robbery, with one vehicle containing eight people who fled. The other vehicle led police on an 80-mile chase before being apprehended near the state line. The female driver and male passenger were arrested, adding to the 11 total arrests made in connection to the series of train robberies targeting Nike shoes in northern Arizona. Thieves have reportedly stolen more than 200 cases of Nike shoes by cutting the train’s hose to force an emergency stop, resulting in millions of dollars in stolen goods. The suspects, many of whom are in the country illegally, have been cutting hose lines to halt trains and steal merchandise. This latest incident reflects the ongoing issue of train heists in the area, sparking concern for the safety and security of trains and their cargo in Northern Arizona.
