NTT purchases 173-acre data center park in Mesa, Arizona for $300 million

NTT recently acquired 173 acres in Mesa, Phoenix, Arizona, for developing a data center campus. The deal was reportedly worth $300 million, with plans for seven buildings to be completed by November 2028. The land was previously owned by Levine Investments and Andrew Cohn, who had purchased it in 2004. The Pacific Proving Technology Park was approved in 2024 on nearly 170 acres of the site. NTT, which already operates a data center nearby, is expanding its presence in Phoenix, a major data center hub.

The Mesa area is already home to several major tech companies, including Amazon, Apple, and NTT, with more developments planned in the future. Phoenix has a growing data center industry, with various companies such as Microsoft and Iron Mountain having a presence in the area. The acquisition by NTT highlights the region’s importance in the data center market and its potential for further growth in the future.
