The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced a partnership with 12News to broadcast 10 over-the-air games this season. Coverage for the Friday night games will extend to various areas beyond Phoenix, including Tucson, Salt Lake, Las Vegas, Albuquerque-Santa Fe, and Yuma-El Centro. D-backs president and CEO Derrick Hall expressed excitement about reaching a larger audience of fans and providing them with the opportunity to enjoy D-backs baseball on 12News. The 10-game slate kicks off on April 25 against the Atlanta Braves and concludes on September 19 against the Philadelphia Phillies. This move follows Hall’s previous comments about increasing visibility through an over-the-air broadcast package.
In addition to the over-the-air games, D-backs fans can still catch games on their usual channels such as COX, DirecTV, Spectrum, and Xfinity/Comcast. There is also a streaming option available through DBACKS.TV for $99.99 per season. The team is looking forward to engaging with a wider audience and providing more opportunities for fans to enjoy D-backs baseball.
