The K-State women’s tennis team battled it out against #36 Arizona State in a close match on Sunday, ultimately falling short with a score of 4-3. Despite winning the doubles point for the first time this season, Arizona State took control in the singles play, winning on the last three courts.

Standout performances included Maralgoo Chogsomjav securing the Wildcats’ first singles win and Veronika Kulhava earning her 30th singles win. However, freshmen Zhanel Rustemova and Charlotte Keitel faced tough competition against ranked opponents.

Head Coach Jordan Smith expressed pride in the team’s performance and resilience in the close match. The Wildcats will now hit the road to face Baylor and TCU in their upcoming matches.
