The College of Coastal Georgia men’s golf team is gearing up to compete in The Battle tournament in Bullhead City, Ariz., following their fifth place finish at Kinderlou earlier this year. Lee Smith was the lone Mariner to finish in the top 10 at Kinderlou and earned Sun Conference Golfer of the Week. Antonio Juarbe and Brad Hammock finished just outside the top 10 at the same event. Freshman Jake Ackerman, who struggled in the spring season after a win in the fall, is looking to bounce back. Joining them in Arizona are Finley Burke and Bo Shuler, both talented golfers. The tournament will feature 19 other teams from across the country and will take place over two days at the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club. The Mariners are hoping to put on a strong performance and improve on their previous finish as they compete against tough competition.
