Fourteen-year-old Emily Pike’s remains were found in Gila County, Arizona, in February, sparking an investigation into her death. Pike, an Indigenous teen, was last seen leaving her group home in Mesa and her remains were found near Globe. An online tip portal has been established by a multi-agency task force including the Gila County Sheriff’s Office, the San Carlos Apache Police Department, the Mesa Police Department, the FBI, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The task force is urging the public to report any tips they may have regarding the case. A $75,000 reward has been offered, and vigils have been held for Pike. The task force does not yet have a name but is dedicated to finding answers in this tragic case. Additionally, an online tip line and the Tips411 app have been established for the public to provide information. The community is eager for justice for Emily Pike and for more awareness of missing Indigenous peoples’ cases.
