Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll left Sunday’s spring training game against the Texas Rangers at Surprise Stadium early due to low back tightness. The young star had two at-bats, striking out swinging in the first inning and hitting a fly out to center field in the second before being removed from the game. Carroll has been impressive in spring training so far, with six hits, three home runs, eight RBIs, and two stolen bases over five games. His .500 batting average and .440 on-base percentage have shown his potential for the upcoming season. His three spring training home runs are a personal record for him. Despite the setback with his low back tightness, Carroll entered Sunday as one of just five players with at least three home runs in the spring season. The Diamondbacks will be monitoring his condition closely as they prepare for the regular season. Stay tuned to @Lance_Hartz for updates on Carroll’s status and recovery.
