Northern Arizona Women’s Swim and Dive Team Secures 12th Consecutive WAC Championship

The Northern Arizona women’s swimming and diving team has dominated once again, claiming their 12th consecutive Western Athletic Conference (WAC) swimming and diving championship. With a total of 694.5 points, the ‘Jacks finished 160.5 points ahead of New Mexico State.

Head swimming coach Andy Johns commended the team’s toughness and resilience throughout the season, highlighting the elite performance of the divers and the swimmers’ ability to overcome challenges. Notable achievements included Casey Craffey defending her title in the 1,650-yard freestyle, Keegan Knott breaking U.S. records in Paralympic events, and Victoria Knapp winning her fifth consecutive 1-meter title.

Head diving coach Nikki Kelsey praised the team for sweeping both springboards and scoring points in all events. The victory marks the end of an era for the WAC championships, as the Lumberjacks will move on to compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation next year.
