29-Year-Old Man Indicted for Murder in Deadly Phoenix Stabbing
Hunter Strawbridge, 29, has been indicted for the murder of Jake Carbonell in a deadly stabbing that occurred at a home in Phoenix. According to officials, the incident took place during a party where Strawbridge was allegedly threatening a female relative with a knife. After being asked to leave the party, a fight ensued outside the house, resulting in Strawbridge stabbing Carbonell in the neck.
Strawbridge has been indicted on multiple charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently held on a $1 million cash-only bond and is expected to stand trial in June.
The stabbing took place on January 25, and besides Carbonell, two other individuals were injured but later released from the hospital. Witnesses identified Strawbridge as the suspect, and he was detained by police at the scene. Carbonell, a father of two young daughters, tragically lost his life in the incident.
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is handling the case, and Strawbridge’s trial is set to take place in June.
