Late Ninth-Inning Comeback Falls Short in Game Two against Arizona

The University of San Diego Toreros baseball team suffered a tough 5-4 loss to the Arizona Wildcats at Hi Corbett Field. Pinch hitter Nico Libed delivered a game-tying two-run single in the top of the ninth inning, but Arizona responded with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the frame. Despite the loss, pitcher Logan Reddemann had a strong outing, allowing only three hits and two earned runs in five innings pitched. Isaiah Lane and Jayden Lobliner also had key hits for San Diego in the ninth inning rally.

Lane had a two-hit performance with an RBI, while Libed recorded multiple RBIs. The Toreros will look to bounce back in the series finale against Arizona. The game is set for tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. PST at Hi Corbett Field. Despite the challenging start to the season, the team remains determined to turn things around and secure their first win of the year.
