Arizona Beach Volleyball started their season on a strong note with a 4-1 victory over Saint Mary’s, highlighted by impressive wins from Adri Nieves Papaleo and Kate Phillips, as well as Sadie Moore and Elin Kaiser. However, the Wildcats struggled in their second match of the day against Grand Canyon, losing all five courts to the Lopes.
Despite the setback, Arizona will look to regroup and bounce back as they continue play in the GCU Invitational against Benedictine University Mesa and Ottawa University Arizona.
In their opening match, Arizona displayed resilience and talent, securing wins in four out of five matches against Saint Mary’s. The team showed great promise and skill, particularly from the freshman duo of Moore and Kaiser.
Although the loss against Grand Canyon was disappointing, the Wildcats showed determination and fighting spirit throughout both matches. Eyes are now on their upcoming games as they strive to continue their success in the ongoing competition.
