The Oakland women’s golf team is gearing up to compete in the 2025 Rio Verde Invitational hosted by Western Michigan at the White Wing Golf Course in Rio Verde, Arizona from February 21-23. With a competitive field of 19 teams from across the country, the Golden Grizzlies are looking to continue their momentum from a strong fall season. Led by Lily Bargamian, Savannah Haque, and Olivia Hemmila, the team aims to perform well at the three-day tournament.
The event will consist of 54 holes of stroke play with one round each day. Oakland will face tough competition from teams such as Akron, Ball State, and Western Michigan among others. The Golden Grizzlies will be looking to build early momentum in the spring season as they compete for a strong finish at the tournament.
