The Mountain West Conference and the Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission have announced that the 2025 Credit Union 1 Baseball Championship will be held at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona. This marks the first time that the MW baseball tournament will be held on a neutral field and in Arizona.
The six-team double elimination format will kick off on May 21, with the top two seeds playing on Thursday. The tournament will culminate on Saturday, May 24, with the MW champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Commissioner Gloria Nevarez expressed excitement about the opportunity to host the championship at Sloan Park, a first-class venue. Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission’s Nikki Balich-Cammarata also highlighted Arizona’s ideal stage for the event, noting the state’s proximity, competitive spirit, and strong fan base.
Justin Piper, General Manager of Sloan Park, and the Chicago Cubs are eager to welcome the Mountain West Conference and the participating teams. The event is expected to drive tourism and showcase Arizona as a top sports destination.
Ticket information for the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Baseball Championship will be available in April. The partnership between the MW and Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission aims to create unforgettable experiences for student-athletes and fans.
