Arizona Wildcats Extend Winning Streak with Dominant Victory over Texas Tech
The Arizona Wildcats continued their winning ways on Saturday night with a dominating 82-73 victory over Texas Tech. Despite missing forward Trey Townsend, the Wildcats were able to outplay the Red Raiders from start to finish.
Arizona’s strong defense held Texas Tech to just 37% shooting from the field and forced eight steals to keep the Red Raiders off-balance. Forwards Tobe Awaka and Henri Veesaar led the way in the paint, combining for 29 points and 19 rebounds.
Point guard Jaden Bradley was also instrumental in the victory, contributing 16 points, five assists, and two rebounds. Arizona’s defensive duo of KJ Lewis and Carter Bryant made it difficult for Texas Tech’s top scorers to find their rhythm, holding them to a combined 38% shooting.
With the win, Arizona extends its winning streak to six games and remains tied with No. 5 Houston at the top of the conference standings. The Wildcats will now hit the road to face Kansas State on Tuesday in hopes of continuing their winning ways.
