4 out of 5 Aliamanu fireworks blast victims in Arizona now conscious

Following a tragic fireworks accident in Aliamanu on Jan. 1, where three people were initially killed and several injured, an update from the Arizona Burn Center indicates that four out of the five remaining patients from Hawaii are now awake and recovering. Unfortunately, one patient did not survive due to injuries that were deemed unsurvivable. The patients, who were airlifted to Arizona due to the severity of their burns, have undergone extensive medical procedures and are now in the process of rehabilitation. The death toll from the accident has since risen, with one patient succumbing to injuries in Arizona. The patients are facing a long road to recovery that includes reconstructive surgeries, therapy, and psychological support. In Honolulu, patients from the same accident are also facing a lengthy recovery process. The medical teams in both Arizona and Hawaii are committed to providing ongoing care and support to help the patients through their journey to recovery.
