Adam Miller of ASU gets ejected from game against Kansas State

Arizona State guard Adam Miller was ejected from the Tuesday night basketball game against Kansas State after a flagrant 2 foul for reportedly slapping Wildcat guard Dug McDaniel. ASU head coach Bobby Hurley stated that Miller’s emotions got the best of him, which was uncharacteristic of him in his two years with the team. Despite Miller’s ejection, ASU managed to take a one-point lead but ultimately lost 71-70 after missed free throws in the final seconds.
This incident comes after another ASU player, BJ Freeman, was ejected in the previous game for a headbutt. Following the altercation, Hurley chose to skip the postgame handshake with the opposing coach and most of the players were sent away from the bench before the game ended.
Hurley mentioned that while Miller’s ejection didn’t affect the team statistically, the players showed more urgency in response to his absence. The game marked the second consecutive ejection for ASU and raised concerns about the team’s behavior on the court. Despite the challenges, Hurley remains confident in his team and their ability to overcome adversity. The Sun Devils will need to regroup and focus on maintaining discipline as they move forward in their season.
