Northern Arizona women’s basketball team secured their 15th consecutive victory against Weber State with an 81-76 win. The team now boasts a 9-1 record in Big Sky Conference play and an 18-5 overall record. Taylor Feldman led the scoring with 27 points, followed by Sophie Glancey with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Saniyah Neverson also contributed off the bench with 16 points. Both teams shot 45 percent from the field, but NAU’s nine three-pointers helped secure the win. Head coach Loree Payne commended Weber State’s performance despite playing their third game in five days. NAU struggled initially, falling behind 13-2, but managed to make a comeback and lead at half-time. The Lumberjacks maintained their lead in the second half, with outstanding defensive play preventing Weber State from scoring for over six minutes in the final quarter. The team looks ahead to challenging matchups against Montana State and Montana.
