An 81-year-old man, identified as Edward Larence Chemleski, was arrested after shooting at deputies in Mohave County near Interstate 40 and Oatman Highway. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when deputies were responding to a disturbance call. Chemleski came out of his home and shot at a deputy, who then fired back. Chemleski ran back into the house but eventually surrendered without a gun and was taken into custody. Thankfully, no one was injured during the confrontation. Chemleski is facing an attempted second-degree murder charge. The deputy who fired his weapon has been placed on paid administrative leave while the Kingman Police Department investigates the incident.
