Morgan Wallen admits to throwing a chair from rooftop bar in Nashville and pleads guilty

Country music star Morgan Wallen pleaded guilty to throwing a chair from a six-story rooftop bar in Nashville and was sentenced to seven days incarceration at a DUI education center and two years’ probation. The incident occurred at Eric Church’s bar, Chief’s, in Nashville’s Broadway district and Wallen was arrested in April. Witnesses reported seeing Wallen pick up a chair, throw it over the roof, and laugh about it. Wallen apologized on social media following the incident.

Despite the legal trouble, Wallen was named entertainer of the year at the annual CMA awards last month. However, this is not the first time that Wallen’s behavior has made headlines. In 2021, he was caught on video shouting a racial slur outside his Tennessee home after a night of partying in Nashville. Wallen expressed remorse for his actions and acknowledged that there was no excuse for his behavior.

In an interview with Billboard, Wallen stated that he accepts responsibility for his actions and does not make excuses for his behavior. The incident involving the chair throwing and the racial slur outburst have caused controversy and nearly derailed Wallen’s career. Despite these challenges, Wallen continues to work on making amends with those affected by his actions and is focused on moving forward.
