Motorcyclist killed in Phoenix crash

A 34-year-old motorcyclist named Braiden Lawson died after a crash in north Phoenix near 7th Street and Deer Valley Road. The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. on a Sunday. Lawson was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later passed away. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police reported that Lawson was speeding and ran a red light, colliding with a black Chevrolet Malibu making a left-hand turn. The area of crash is restricted as an investigation is ongoing.
