However, a system approaching from the north will bring slightly cooler temperatures on Monday, with a high of 74. Winds will also pick up in western Arizona and the high country on Monday, with gusts reaching 25-35 mph. Tuesday will see breezes increasing in parts of the Valley, bringing temperatures closer to normal at around 68 degrees. By Wednesday, temperatures will drop to the low to mid-40s in Phoenix and even lower in some areas of the Valley. Highs will then recover to the low to mid-70s from Wednesday to Friday. The forecast remains dry for now, with a slight chance of precipitation in the mountains over the weekend.
