College football fans were treated to an exciting Championship Week with the top teams battling it out for a spot in the College Football Playoff. The final projections were made before the 12-team bracket is released, with Oregon expected to hold the top seed after winning the Big Ten championship against Penn State. Georgia, after an impressive victory over Texas in the SEC Championship, is projected to be the second seed. Despite the loss, Texas is expected to secure the fifth seed in the playoff field, ahead of Notre Dame.
With the first-round matchups decided, the playoff field is set to be competitive. SMU is projected to drop out of the field after a loss to Clemson in the ACC Championship, paving the way for Arizona State and Boise State to secure byes.
