The 2024 College Football Playoff selection committee rankings are set to be released, but the AP Top 25 poll still has a say in ranking teams. After conference championship games, voters will reassess teams’ positions, including Oregon retaining the top spot and Georgia moving up after an SEC win. Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Texas also remain in the top 5. Penn State, Ohio State, Boise State, and Indiana are among the teams with potential changes in the rankings. Clemson’s walk-off win secures them a spot in the top 15, while SMU drops after a loss in the conference championship game. Along with Miami, Ole Miss, and Iowa State, other teams in the top 25 include BYU, Colorado, Illinois, Army, Missouri, Syracuse, and Memphis. UNLV, despite a loss, is expected to stay in the rankings due to their strong season. Stay tuned for the final rankings and the announcement of the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff bracket as the postseason approaches.
