Arizona State Advances to College Football Playoff Quarterfinals with Nine Big 12 Teams Highlighted in Bowl Games

The Big 12 Conference has announced that nine teams have been selected for postseason play, matching last year’s record-breaking number. The highlight of the selection is the Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Champion Arizona State being chosen as the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff. Arizona State will play in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on January 1 against either Clemson or Texas. Other teams from the Big 12 selected for postseason play include Baylor, BYU, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. The matchups will include games against SEC opponents, as well as teams from the AAC, ACC, Big Ten, and the Sun Belt. West Virginia will kick off the bowl season in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl on December 17, with other games scheduled through New Year’s Day. The Big 12 is expected to have a strong presence in the upcoming postseason with a variety of exciting matchups.
