St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Center receives approval to reopen following order to cease operations by AZDHS

[ad_1]
St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Center in Phoenix has been approved to reopen after being ordered to cease operations earlier this year. The hospital will operate in a limited capacity with one unit of 26 beds currently open to serve adults in need of inpatient care. The facility was ordered to close in August due to issues with cooling systems and safety in the kitchen. College Health Enterprises has taken over operations and made necessary repairs, with plans to transfer ownership from Steward Health in January 2025. The hospital will be renamed College Medical Center Phoenix once the transfer is complete. City and fire officials have ensured the facility is safe to reopen, and the Arizona Department of Health Services has provided technical assistance throughout the process. ADHS will continue to monitor the reopening to ensure a smooth transition. Residents in need of mental health support can contact the Arizona Statewide Crisis Hotline for assistance.
