TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – Anthony Dell’Orso scored 19 points and six other Arizona players reached double figures in a dominant 102-66 victory over Southern Utah. Four of the double-figure scorers came off the bench, contributing to the Wildcats’ 62 points off the bench, the most since at least 1996-97. Arizona led 55-23 at halftime after a strong first-half performance, shooting 53% from the field and forcing 13 turnovers. In the second half, Arizona maintained a comfortable lead of at least 30 points for most of the game. This win helped Arizona even its record at 4-4, after being under .500 for the first time since 2010.
Jamir Simpson had 21 points and Dominique Ford had 13 for Southern Utah (8-3) in the loss. The Wildcats are now 50-4 at home over the last three-plus seasons under coach Tommy Lloyd. Arizona’s next game will be against UCLA on December 14th at 1:00 PM MST, which will be broadcasted on ESPN2 and Arizona Sports Enterprises (AM1290).
