The final weeks of Kamala Harris’ campaign saw $277 million in spending

[ad_1]
Vice President Kamala Harris outpaced President-elect Donald Trump in fundraising and spending during the final stretch of the 2024 election, raising $160 million and spending $277 million compared to Trump’s $87 million raised and $113 million spent. The Harris campaign allocated a significant amount towards media buys and ad production, as well as directly contacting voters through text messages, canvassing, phone calls, and direct mail. The campaign also spent a substantial amount on events, including payments to production companies affiliated with Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Ricky Martin, and others who appeared at Harris rallies. After the election, the Harris campaign continued fundraising efforts to help pay off debts and support the Democratic National Committee. Future Forward, Harris’ top super PAC, raised over $163 million and spent $184 million, ending with $47 million in debt. In comparison, MAGA Inc., the pro-Trump super PAC, raised $347 million with no debt at the end of the reporting period. Other pro-Trump groups, such as America PAC and Preserve America, also raised and spent significant amounts before and after the election. The Democratic National Committee ended the period with more than $47 million on hand, on par with the Republican National Committee. The reports shed light on the significant financial investments made by both campaigns and affiliated groups during the 2024 election cycle.
