Lori Vallow Daybell deemed fit for trial in Arizona

Lori Vallow Daybell has been found competent to stand trial on additional charges in Arizona, after already being sentenced to life in prison in Idaho for conspiring to kill her two youngest children and another woman. The charges in Arizona include conspiring to kill her estranged husband and a niece’s ex-spouse. Vallow Daybell’s fourth husband, Charles Vallow, was killed in 2019 by her brother, who claimed self-defense. Vallow Daybell then married Chad Daybell, who was later sentenced to death for the murders of Vallow Daybell’s children and his former wife. Prosecutors in the Idaho case allege the couple created an apocalyptic belief system where killing was justified to save possessed souls. The trial in Arizona is tentatively set for February 24th.
