Judge rules Lori Vallow can act as her own attorney in Arizona trials

Lori Vallow, known as the “Doomsday Mom,” has been granted the right to represent herself during her upcoming trials in Arizona where she is accused of conspiring in the fatal shooting of her fourth husband, Charles, and the attempted murder of her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux. The shootings occurred within months of each other in 2019. Vallow’s trial for the murder conspiracy case involving Charles Vallow has been scheduled for March 31, 2025. Doctors have deemed Vallow mentally fit to stand trial, and the state did not object to their findings during a recent hearing. Vallow was previously found guilty in Idaho for the murders of her two children, Joshua “JJ” Vallow and Tylee Ryan, as well as her role in the death of Tammy Daybell, the first wife of her current husband Chad Daybell.
