Grand Canyon University secures second Big 12 victory by defeating Arizona

The Grand Canyon women’s basketball team secured their second Big 12 victory of the season with a 69-66 win over Arizona at McKale Center. Senior guard Trinity San Antonio led the way with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Laura Erikstrup added 14 points and Alyssa Durazo-Frescas added 13. This victory follows their previous win against Arizona State on November 14. The Lopes shot 44% from the field and were able to dominate at the free throw line and on the boards. This was the first meeting between the two in-state rivals. Grand Canyon will continue their series against all three in-state Division I opponents with a game against Northern Arizona on December 29.
