Reggaeton singer Bad Bunny dominated as the most-streamed Latin artist on Spotify in 2024, solidifying his place at the top. However, Mexican music made a strong comeback, with música mexicana becoming the most-streamed Latin genre in the U.S. Peso Pluma, a Mexican singer known for his unique fusion of “corridos tumbados” with trap and reggaeton, played a significant role in the rise of música mexicana. Colombian reggaeton singers Feid and Karol G also had a successful year, with Karol G reigning as the most-listened-to female Latin artist for the fifth consecutive year.

The top Latin song on Spotify was “Gata Only” by Chilean singers FloyyMenor and Cris Mj, which also ranked as the fourth most-streamed song globally.

The number of Latin music listeners on Spotify worldwide has grown significantly, increasing by 986% from 2014 to 2023. In the U.S., Latin music revenue reached a record high of $685 million in 2024, marking a 7% increase from the previous year.
