Arizona makes changes to coaching staff, parts ways with coordinators

[ad_1]
Arizona’s offseason began with National Signing Day and is continuing with changes to the coaching staff as head coach Brent Brennan evaluates the program following a disappointing season. Brennan announced that three new coordinators will be brought in for offense, defense, and special teams. Offensive coordinator Dino Babers will not be returning to the program, while defensive coordinator Duane Akina and special teams coordinator and linebackers coach Danny Gonzales will be in different roles.

Brennan emphasized the need for change after a lackluster season, stating that the team needed to move forward with a new direction. He is looking for coordinators who can help develop players like Noah Fifita and bring an explosive offense to the team. Brennan intends to hire an offensive coordinator from outside the program to bring fresh ideas.

The news out of Arizona is not over yet, with Brennan still evaluating the coaching staff and working to make crucial hires to improve the team’s success. Expect more announcements in the coming days as the offseason progresses.
