Arizona will soon be home to a new Qdoba location

[ad_1]
Qdoba is set to open its first standalone restaurants in Arizona this month, with plans to open up to 10 locations in the state over the next two years. The Mexican fast casual chain, currently with around 800 units, is looking to double its system in the next decade and is offering a $100,000 cash bonus to franchisees opening additional units by 2026. The new Arizona restaurants will feature experiential elements such as an open grill and two production lines to meet demand, with a smaller interior space of about 2,000 square feet.

The move to expand in Arizona is part of Qdoba’s larger growth strategy, targeting the Phoenix metro area which has seen significant population growth in recent years. Other fast casual chains like Bojangles, Huey Magoo’s, and Sweetgreen are also looking to capitalize on this market. In contrast, traditional QSRs and casual dining brands have had a more mixed performance in 2024, with some chains closing numerous stores.
