Phoenix is expected to have unseasonably warm temperatures at the start of December, with highs reaching into the 80s on Monday and Tuesday. This is around 10-12 degrees warmer than the average for this time of year, which is typically 69 degrees. On Tuesday, temperatures may even come close to breaking a record set back in 1940 of 81 degrees. However, by mid-week, a low-pressure system will bring temperatures back down slightly into the mid-to-upper 70s.
Despite the warm temperatures, dry conditions are expected to continue throughout the state at least until the middle of the week. This weather news has come as a surprise to many residents who are used to cooler temperatures during the winter months. As always, residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions when spending extended periods of time outdoors in the warm weather. Stay tuned for further updates on the weather as the week progresses.
