The sequel to Disney’s 2016 film “Moana” follows the protagonist Moana as she embarks on a treacherous journey to save her people. Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman praised the film’s success, stating that it has far surpassed expectations. Universal’s “Wicked” and Paramount’s “Gladiator II” also performed well over the Thanksgiving weekend, with “Wicked” grossing $117.5 million and “Gladiator II” earning $44 million domestically. Overall, the holiday weekend saw a surge in box office revenue thanks to these major releases.
