Arizona Cardinals rookie defensive lineman Darius Robinson is set to make his NFL debut against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. This will be Robinson’s first game after recovering from a calf injury and dealing with the passing of his mother during his rehabilitation. Head coach Jonathan Gannon is excited to see Robinson take the field but also plans to be cautious with the rookie, as this will be his first non-preseason game since last December. The versatile Robinson was drafted as the No. 27 overall pick out of Missouri.
In addition to Robinson, veteran safety Jalen Thompson is also returning to play after missing the past two games with an ankle injury. The team’s inactives for the game against the Vikings include tight end Travis Vokolek, wide receiver Xavier Weaver, offensive lineman Christian Jones, pass rusher Julian Okwara, and defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga.
Arizona Cardinals fans can catch all the action at 11 a.m. on the Arizona Sports app, 98.7, and ArizonaSports.com. The team is looking forward to the impact that Robinson and Thompson will make in their comeback games. The return of these key players adds strength and depth to the Cardinals’ roster and will be a significant factor in the upcoming matchup against the Vikings.
