Arizona residents have until Dec. 12 to vote on their favorite design for the Arizona-themed logo for the upcoming semiquincentennial events celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States’ founding in 2026. The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office has revealed the top 10 finalists for the logo, which will be featured in all “Arizona America250” branding. Residents can choose from designs that highlight Arizona’s economic outputs like cotton and copper, the iconic red rock vistas, or the state’s connections to Native American communities. The winning logo designer will be able to attend the commemorative events as a VIP guest. More information on the logos can be found on the Arizona Secretary of State’s website. In related news, the Arizona Capitol Christmas tree this year is a gift from the San Carlos Apache community, and Mesa ruins dating back hundreds of years have been renamed to honor Native American heritage. Additionally, 12News has launched the free 12+ app, where users can stream live events and on-demand videos, showcasing top stories, local news, weather, and more.
