Arizona State University’s volleyball team made history on Wednesday night by winning the 2024 Big 12 Regular Season Championship, their first conference title in team history. The Sun Devils secured the title after BYU defeated No. 11 Kansas. This victory marks the first Big 12 title across all sports for ASU. Arizona State is now one of four teams in the conference to have won a Big 12 volleyball title, alongside Baylor, Kansas, and Kansas State.
The team’s success has also earned them a spot in the NCAA Tournament with the Big 12’s autobid. The Sun Devils have been on an impressive 16-match winning streak, the second-longest in program history. Their 28 wins this season tie for the most wins this century and the second-most wins all-time. Additionally, their 16 conference victories set a new program record. The team will celebrate their championship win at their last regular season home match and senior night on Friday. Fans can follow updates on the Big 12 Championship on their website.
