Arizona bounces back with a convincing 104-71 victory over Davidson in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Anthony Dell’Orso and Caleb Love led the Wildcats with a combined 41 points, while Trey Townsend contributed 17 points. Arizona, shooting 57% from the field, dominated both inside the paint and from beyond the arc.
Despite Davidson’s efforts, with Connor Kochera scoring 20 points, they struggled with their shooting, making just 11 of 34 3-point attempts. Arizona’s strong defense limited Davidson’s top scorer, Reed Bailey, to just nine points.
The Wildcats look to continue their winning streak as they face off against Oklahoma in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Davidson will play Providence in the consolation bracket. After losses to Wisconsin and Duke, Arizona is eager to prove themselves in the tournament and work towards climbing back up the AP rankings. This victory is a step in the right direction for the Wildcats.
