Jurors in New Mexico awarded a man over $412 million in a medical malpractice case against a men’s health clinic that operates in multiple states. The case involved fraud and dangerous penile injections that caused irreversible damage to the man. The plaintiff’s attorneys celebrated the verdict, calling it a national record-setting case that sends a message to licensed professionals not to defraud patients for money. The lawsuit alleged that the clinic misdiagnosed the man and treated him with unnecessary injections that caused harm. The plaintiff’s legal team accused the clinic of setting up a fraudulent scheme to make money by conning old men into receiving injections three times a week. NuMale Medical Center President Brad Palubicki stated that the company is focused on delivering responsible patient care and maintaining safety and compliance standards at all of its facilities. The company has clinics in several other states. The jury found that the defendants’ conduct was fraudulent, negligent, and unconscionable, resulting in damages to the plaintiff and violating the Unfair Practices Act. Despite ongoing legal proceedings, NuMale Medical Center has not provided specific details or comments on the case at this time.
