The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the body of Amber Barnett, who went missing while hiking in the White Tank Mountains in April, has been recovered. According to a flyer obtained by Arizona’s Family, Barnett was reported missing after not returning from her hike in Waddell. Her car, keys, and purse were found in a parking lot during a search. Last Sunday, human remains were spotted by a hiker, leading homicide detectives to identify them as Barnett’s. No further information has been released at this time.
The tragic discovery brings closure to Barnett’s loved ones, who have been waiting for answers since her disappearance. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office continues to work diligently to piece together the circumstances surrounding Barnett’s death. Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
