The No. 24 Arizona Wildcats bounced back from a two-game losing streak with a dominant 104-71 victory over Davidson at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Anthony Dell’Orso and Caleb Love combined for 41 points, while Trey Townsend, Tobe Awaka, and Motiejus Krivas also made significant contributions. Arizona shot 57% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc.
Despite Davidson’s efforts, they struggled to keep up with Arizona’s offensive firepower. Connor Kochera and Bobby Durkin led the scoring for Davidson, but their 38% shooting and 11 of 34 from 3-point range were not enough to overcome Arizona’s efficiency.
After leading by 12 points at halftime, Arizona saw their lead cut to just six in the second half before going on a decisive 36-9 run to secure the victory. The Wildcats showcased their strength both from long range and inside the paint, outscoring Davidson by 22 points in the paint.
Looking ahead, Arizona will face Oklahoma in the semifinals while Davidson will take on Providence in the consolation bracket. The Wildcats are eager to continue their success in the tournament and improve their ranking, currently standing at No. 24 in the AP Top 25 poll. With this impressive win, Arizona has their sights set on maintaining their streak of being ranked in the AP poll for the 61st consecutive time.
