An Arizona man, Manuel Tamayo-Torres, was arrested for threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump and his family in a series of videos where he displayed an AR-15 rifle. Tamayo-Torres accused Trump and his family of kidnapping and sex trafficking his children. He has been charged with a felony, but court documents referred to Trump as “Individual 1”. In one video, Tamayo-Torres threatened to shoot Trump at a rally, and in another, he stated that Trump and his family would die. He was also charged with making false statements to obtain a gun in Arizona. This incident comes after a previous attempt on Trump’s life at a rally in Pennsylvania, where a shooter targeted him, resulting in one person’s death and Trump sustaining a minor injury. The Secret Service intervened and the shooter was killed. The case against Tamayo-Torres highlights the ongoing threats and security concerns surrounding political figures like President-elect Trump.
