Arizona State’s Sun Devil Football team came out victorious on Saturday in a game against Oklahoma State, with a final score of 42-21. Despite enduring a two-hour lightning delay, the Sun Devils put on an impressive offensive performance. Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns, while Cam Skattebo recorded 274 total yards of offense, outdoing the entire Oklahoma State offense. The Sun Devils scored 28 unanswered points after the Cowboys tied the game at 14 in the second quarter.
Skattebo had an exceptional game, rushing for 153 yards and a touchdown, as well as adding two receiving touchdowns. Running back Kyson Brown scored his first two rushing touchdowns for ASU. The Sun Devil defense also held Oklahoma State’s star running back, Ollie Gordon, to just 25 yards on the ground.
Overall, Arizona State outgained Oklahoma State with 529 total yards to 270. The Sun Devils showcased a dominant performance throughout the game, particularly in the second half after the weather delay.
This win brings Arizona State’s record to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play. The team will next face off against UCF on November 9th.
