Kansas City Chiefs welcomed veteran offensive tackle D.J. Humphries to the practice field for the first time this week as they continue their quest for a third straight Lombardi Trophy. Humphries, who recently recovered from a torn ACL, will provide much-needed help at left tackle where the team has been struggling to protect quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs are currently 10-1 and leading the AFC, but they are looking to strengthen their roster for a successful playoff run.
In addition to Humphries, the Chiefs made several roster moves, including signing kicker Matthew Wright due to Spencer Shrader’s hamstring injury. Running back Isiah Pacheco and pass rusher Charles Omenihu are also expected to potentially play in Friday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
With six games left in the regular season, the Chiefs are taking their time with Humphries’ introduction to the team. His experience and talent are expected to boost the Chiefs’ performance as they chase another championship title.
